welcome back to meeee

Hello

its been quite a while since I’ve used this space. From spending the last several years dealing with some severe mental health issues, realizing my trans identity, falling into substance issues, and then in the last two years starting my transition and getting sober, I finally feel ready to start using this space as it was meant to be used. I’m finally in a space to be sharing again. Well, to be making things again but also to be sharing the things I make.

It can be scary, honestly, to come back to something that is so important to you after time off, especially extended time off, as needed as it was. I don’t necessarily know what the next step in my artistic practice will be or where it will take me, but I look forward to finding out.

Anyway, I finally started unpacking my pieces in the new studio space and found this one that I honestly don’t really remember making but that I am truly obsessed with. It’s from the last woodfiring I did, in upstate New York in 2021.

anyway, I’ll be updating the website thoroughly soon so keep an eye out, lots of new and old work gonna be dropping (primarily ceramics as that seems to be the only part of my practice I have managed to stick with throughout the chaos of the last 4 or so years).

The Garden, Presidents Office Show 2k17

Huge thank you to everyone that came through for the show and yelled about art and gender and  graffiti with me and supported me and my fellow artists! This show was a humbling and beautiful, and it was an honor to show with my wonderful and talented, but most importantly dedicated and hardworking studio mates and and to see our work up on the walls and given the recognition we have all worked so hard for! Hell yeah folks
