Viktor Stein is a multimedia artist and ceramicist located in Brooklyn. His painting and installation work deals primarily with the social reality of cultural signifiers, especially as they relate gender identity, beauty, race, drug crimes, and incarceration. His ceramic work deals with materiality, the shared edge of beauty and ugliness, and the uniquely unpredictable nature of the medium, particularly with atmospheric firings.
